Emily Coles, L.Ac.
Emily Coles is a life-long proponent of natural living and holistic health. Her mother, a registered nurse, and older sister, a naturopathic doctor, both influenced Emily’s path to become a natural healer. While searching for her career path in 2009 she discovered Traditional Chinese Medicine and was immediately drawn to the ancient practice of acupuncture. The idea of achieving health by creating balance and harmony in one’s body resonated with Emily so profoundly that she enrolled at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in Chicago.
She spent the next four years studying intensely and working long hours at the student clinic, where she learned from experienced and esteemed practitioners of Chinese Medicine. She acquired the skills and knowledge to treat a wide variety of common conditions such as migraines, back pain, digestive complaints, stress, and insomnia, along with more complicated conditions such as Bell’s Palsy, PTSD, chronic pain, stroke, and more.
Pregnancy wellness became incredibly important to Emily when she relied on acupuncture during labor to assure the healthy and unmedicated birth of her son. After this empowering experience, Emily shifted the focus of her acupuncture practice to pregnancy, labor support, and women’s health. In just a short time, it became clear that many women were looking for help to become pregnant and were getting great results from natural alternatives to help conceive.
Wanting to support women through all their health goals, and believing fully in the power of acupuncture to assist, Emily quickly added fertility acupuncture to her focus of practice. She is currently furthering her knowledge of Chinese Medicine’s role in reproductive health, specifically as concerned with fertility, through online courses of continuing education.
Emily is a Licensed Acupuncturist (L.Ac.) in the state of Indiana. She is a Board Certified Diplomate of Acupuncture by the NCCAOM and is a member of the Indiana Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.
